The Sullivan Building received an Honor Award. Jury comments included, “Sometimes architects are presented with a project of such exceptional importance that it changes their life. This is that project. Meticulous restoration and reuse of a cherished icon of modern architecture.”
The Licking County Courthouse West Courtroom Restoration
received a Merit Award. Jury comments
included, “The historic preservation aspects of this project are very
technical, with many dimensions. Knowing the challenges in the restoration of
an historic interior of this character, this project is of the highest merit.”
The AIA Columbus annual Architecture Awards program honors
outstanding achievements across a broad spectrum of architectural work and
celebrates design excellence by architects practicing within the AIA Columbus
chapter boundaries.
