Welcome Parthi Pandit

Parthi Pandit joins RKA as a graduate from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago with a Master of Architecture degree. Her academic and professional interests center on human centered architecture, emphasizing design that responds to the needs and experiences of people. She is currently writing a book which explores cities through an ariel perspective, further discussing how urban forms and patterns shape the way people experience different places and city cultures. Outside of architecture, Parthi enjoys exploring new restaurants and local destinations, combining her love for food, culture, and community.

Welcome Colton Vance

 Colton Vance joins RKA as a graduate from the Columbus College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design and a minor in Art History. He enjoys the design opportunities to integrate architecture and interior design on a wide range of projects. Outside of his passion for interior design and architecture, Colton enjoys traveling the world, and experiencing all types of places, cultures, and adventures.

Welcome Morgan Plagenz

We welcome Morgan Plagenz for her second summer with RKA. This fall, Morgan will be entering her fifth year at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in Sustainability Studies. Morgan loves living in NYC and exploring the city on foot but also enjoys being in her hometown of Columbus.

Rylen Perkins and Morgan Plagenz Join the RKA Design Staff

Rylen is a graduate of Bowling Green State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design. He is working to build his professional experience within the field of architecture before continuing his long-term goal of obtaining a master’s degree in architecture. Rylen is determined to learn more skills, to help advance his knowledge about the profession of architecture. Outside of the office, Rylen enjoys cooking, watching movies, and playing video games



































Morgan Plagenz is currently a student at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She is working to earn her Bachelor of Architecture degree while also pursuing a minor in Sustainability Studies. Morgan loves living in NYC and exploring the city on foot, but also enjoys being in her hometown of Columbus. Michael Johnson Joins RKA Design Staff

Michael Johnson is a graduate of City and Regional Planning at The Ohio State University. He is enrolled in the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University to pursue a master’s degree in Architecture. Michael is passionate about sustainable design and believes that good design can better connect people with places. Michael is excited to use his knowledge of planning while gaining experience in the field of architecture. When not at work, Michael enjoys hanging out with his dog, cooking, and biking around the city.

Claire Beskitt joins RKA Design Staff

After graduating from the University of Akron, Claire Beskitt gathered experience in architectural and interior design in the Cleveland area. She was drawn to Columbus by the energy and dynamic nature of the city, and admittedly tiring of winters on Lake Erie. At work, she enjoys the unique challenges that come with all types of projects, from residential to commercial to historic renovations. Outside of the office, Claire enjoys spending time outdoors, baking, and collecting vinyl records. She has a green thumb for house plants, and in her professional career, plans to become a LEED Green Associate to better focus sustainability into future projects.

RKA Welcomes Daniel DeGreve

RKA is pleased to welcome Daniel DeGreve as Project Manager.

Daniel is a Project Manager with formal training in Classical architecture and the practical experience of engaging traditional design principles in modern construction.  He earned his Master of Architectural Design & Urbanism degree from the University of Notre Dame and his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.  He is a Registered Architect in the State of Ohio and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.  A native of Ohio, Daniel is happy to be back in Columbus after several excellent years working as an architect on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.  His specializations include church architecture, historic preservation, and walkable neighborhood development.  Daniel is a self-confessed architectural history nerd, and enjoys biking the Olentangy Trail, shopping farmers markets, cooking, and reading a good book at the coffee bar.

RKA is pleased to welcome Elijah Less to its design staff.

Elijah Less is a recent master of architecture graduate of the Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design. During his time at KSU, Elijah focused his education on his passions in historic preservation and biophilic design. Elijah brings his entrepreneurial experience with real estate and building restoration to Rogers Krajnak Architects. Beyond the office, he enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and restoring old homes.

RKA welcomes Austin Wessels

RKA is pleased to welcome Austin Wessels to its architectural staff.

Austin earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University in 2017 and is currently pursuing his Master of Architecture degree from OSU. He sees architecture as the opportunity to create impactful and lasting impressions on the world. His goal is to become a licensed architect, so he can one day help others recognize their dreams in a built form. In the hours not involving sleep or architecture, he can be found cheering on the Buckeyes, playing basketball or soccer, and more recently, sand volleyball during the summer months.

Shelley Sun has joined RKA’s Design Staff.  She earned her Bachelor of Architectural Studies and her Masters of Architecture from the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia.  Through her experience in architectural offices in Shanghai, China and Melbourne, Australia, she developed an interest in the synthesis of Architecture and Interior Design.  While she is enthusiastic about Minimalist design, Shelley enjoys traveling and being inspired by various architectural styles (and local cuisines) around the world.

RKA Welcomes Cara Berg

Cara is a recent graduate from the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University with a B.S. Architecture degree.  Through Knowlton’s study abroad programs, she had the opportunity to visit twelve different countries—including France, Denmark, and Cuba! Cara also plans to add more stamps to her passport.  She has been awarded a University Fellowship and will be returning this fall to the Knowlton studios to begin her Master of Architecture.  Outside the studio, Cara is likely to be found at your neighborhood coffee shop.

Josh Gabbard joins RKA

We are pleased to announce that Josh Gabbard has joined Rogers Krajnak Architects as Design Staff.  Josh recently earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minor in Art and Architecture History from Miami University.  As part of the MU Habitat Studio, he was part of a team that designed several structures for the Al Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan and he plans to visit the camp later this spring.  He was awarded a Lyceum travel Fellowship and will utilize this to visit Germany.  In his spare time, Josh enjoys visiting local record shops, seeking out live music, or reading a good book.

RKA welcomes Kevin McCleery

Kevin McCleery joined RKA as Senior Project Architect in January. His career spans three decades and is highlighted with new higher education buildings, several K-12 schools and many religious facility additions and renovations. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University, is a licensed Architect in the State Ohio and maintains his LEED AP, BD & C accreditation. With his extensive expertise in high design projects, Kevin will utilize his technical skills, building trade knowledge, and document management experience on a variety of RKA’s design-focused projects.

David Merrick, AIA, NCARB rejoins Rogers Krajnak Architects


Rogers Krajnak Architects welcomes David back to RKA as Project Manager.  His 26 years of experience includes several RKA religious facility projects, RKA’s office, data processing center, retail banking offices and numerous health care facilities.  David has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He is a Licensed Architect in Ohio, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Virginia.  As Project Manager, David manages the firm's projects, facilitates Client and Project Team meetings, creates and monitors project schedules and cost estimates, prepares construction documents and provides on-site construction administration services.

Vic Williamson, AIA, NCARB joins RKA

Rogers Krajnak Architects welcomes Vic Williamson, AIA, NCARB to the firm.  As Senior Project Manager, Vic manages the firm's projects, facilitates Client and Project Team meetings, creates and monitors project schedules and cost estimates, prepares construction documents and provides on-site construction administration services. Vic has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University. His 24 years of experience includes a variety of new construction and renovation projects including higher education, office, hospitality, retail and criminal justice projects in the private and public sector.

Tim Shamblin re-joins Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc

Rogers Krajnak Architects welcomes back Tim Shamblin to the firm! Tim has completed his Bachelors of Science in Architecture degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. He is now working to build his professional experience before continuing on to his longer goal of obtaining a Masters Degree in Architecture. Tim assists with a variety of work, including project related design tasks, marketing materials, and website management. In his free time, Tim can be found building something, whether it is a computer, a Lego model, or a good meal.

Gillian is a recent architectural graduate from Cork, Ireland. She has completed her Bachelors of Science in Architecture degree at University College Cork. She is completing a six month internship at Rogers Krajnak Architects. She will be assisting with various tasks including project related design work, documentation, marketing and administrative tasks throughout her internship. Next year, Gillian plans to continue her studies by entering graduate school and obtaining her Masters in Architecture.

Mike Schulte re-joins Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc
